Dear New Little Blessing,

You are so loved!

Dear New Little Blessing,

I found out that you were in my tummy one week ago.  My first reaction was amazement!  I was so happy, excited, and nervous!  I couldn't wait to tell Daddy about you, and I wanted him to find out in an exciting way.  Your big brother turned ONE on Sunday, and I wanted to wait until after his party to tell Daddy.  (I told your brother right after he woke up from his nap!)

I had made a slideshow for your brother's party, and it was playing so that all of our guests could see pictures from his first year of life.  After our friends and family left, we started cleaning up.  While your brother was playing in the other room and Daddy was outside loading up the tables and chairs...I added one more picture to the slideshow just for your Daddy to see:

When your brother went to bed and all the cleaning was done, Daddy and I sat on the couch to relax.  I asked him to watch the end of the slideshow with me one more time.  He sat right next to me and held my hand.  I was so nervous.  I kept squeezing his hand, and when we got to this last picture...Daddy read it a couple of times, and then jumped up and said, "What?!  Are you serious?  Are you serious?"  I started crying and nodding my head and saying yes.  He continued to say, "Really?! Are you serious?!"  He told me to stand up and hug him.  He was so excited, nervous, and shocked!

We are so happy that God has blessed us with a new life in our family!  We are busy thinking about what your arrival will bring.  You are already so loved.  We are wondering if you are a boy or girl.  We wonder what you will look like.  We wonder if I will be as sick during this pregnancy as I was with your brother!  We are making plans of where your room will be.  We are trying to remember all of the changes that a new life brings!  We are anxious and nervous, but most of all we are thankful to be so blessed!

You are being fearfully and wonderfully made, and we will pray for you each day of your life.  Your Daddy and I love you so much!
